At BookHome, we believe you shouldn't have to read a 2,000-word essay just to find out if a book is right for you.
We’ve stripped away the noise to provide a streamlined, 'geek' level visual guide to your next great read.

Our Mission

We aren't a traditional review site. You won't find long-winded critiques or spoilers here. Instead, we provide a data-driven snapshot of every book in our database. We focus on the essential metrics that matter to readers: Quality, Content, Author and above all transparency.

We (strictly) list only UK based or born independent and small press authors - So you wont find any authors of the big publishers listed here.

Our site is built to help you find your favorite creators. One click on an author’s name brings you their entire catalog, making it easier than ever to complete your collection. We don't categorise books based on genre (although you can filter our database this way), instead we have kept things simple;
Fiction, Children's, Non-Fiction and Academic - We can always expand the categories as an when titles are added - for example Children's Non-Fiction.

So whether you are looking for a mild cozy mystery or a scorching dark romance, BookHome is designed to be your book home for literary discovery.

BookHome was established by indie small press SmithWrite Publishing in 2026.
We are a free to use site, our model relies on affiliate commission from book sales at no cost to the buyer or author.

Complete the book listing form below and we will add your book to our database, unfortunately you will need to complete separate forms for each book you authored. Reminder we only list independent and small press published books. We reserve the right not to include books that we deem to not meet the our transparency standards, this includes but is not limited to the use of AI in the production of any aspect of the work.

If you are published by one of the big five publishers, then sorry this site isn't for you. We class the big five as: Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Hachette Group, & Macmillan or their subsidiaries. (We will check)

By submitting a book for consideration via our Book Submission Form, you agree to the site terms and conditions and also the following terms:

Ownership and License: You retain all ownership rights to your original content. However, by submitting, you grant BookHome a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute the provided information (including titles, descriptions, and cover images) on our website and social media channels for promotional purposes.

Authority to Submit: You represent and warrant that you are the author or legal copyright holder of the work, or have been explicitly authorized by the copyright holder to submit the information.

Content Standards: We reserve the right to refuse, edit, or remove any submission at our sole discretion that we find inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise inconsistent with our brand standards, this includes collection(s) of work which have been created using A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), this is a strictly AI free site.

No Guarantee of Inclusion: Submission does not guarantee that your book will be featured on the site. BookHome is under no obligation to provide feedback or reasons for the rejection of any submission.
